Shea Butter Lip Balm

At long last. What you have all been asking for. A moisturising Lip Balm. 

This has taken a while to formulate. So many recipes tested as I didn't want it too soft or too hard, disappear too quickly, make your lips feel greasy..oh the list was endless. 

I hope that you agree that this Lip Balm is perfect. Just the right amount of slip so that it glides on nicely, thanks to the Castor Oil, but also stays on long enough to moisturise your lips, thanks to the unrefined Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil.  

I use unrefined Shea butter as this is prepared without any added chemicals and preservatives therefore making it full of vitamins and skin loving benefits and is particularly good at penetrating the skin. Jojoba Oil is claimed to be a fantastic moisturiser as its structure is very similar to the skins Sebum. Its non greasy and creates a very light layer on the skin which helps prevent water loss which is great for keeping those lips from drying out.  

Finally it is Vegan friendly as it is made with Candelilla wax which is derived from the leaves of a small shrub. Its perfect for lip balms as it is alternative to the usual beeswax and it helps to give that glossy look and create an occlusive layer on the skin.

Peppermint  - Please note. This is only slightly scented. It is not a lip balm flavour therefore you will not be able to taste it. It is an essential oil and can only be added in small amounts. It is more for the beneficial properties of the essential oil.

Unscented Lip Balm

Ingredients:

Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera Cera, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Triticum Vulgare Germ Oil, Tocopherol.

Vanilla Lip Balm

Ingredients:

Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Euphorbia Cerifera Cera, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Aroma, Triticum Vulgare Germ Oil, Tocopherol.

Peppermint Lip Balm

Ingredients:

Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera Cera, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Triticum Vulgare Germ Oil, Mentha Piperita Oil, Limonene,Tocopherol.
